Let me re-state the obvious. Travel, tourism and hospitality are the three sectors of the economy that have been hurt the most -- that too for the long term -- ...as a result of the Covid19 pandemic. Yet, like the band that kept playing even as the Titanic was sinking, the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) has decided to do its bit to mitigate the humanitarian disaster (the mass migration of the poor -- the people who serve us, the elite, daily) that has taken place in the wake of the lockdown. The NRAI is teaming teaming up with the local authorities and feeding 10 million people in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata during the lockdown period. Each meal will cost Rs 20-25. An enterprise of this magnitude, and magnanimity, can only be made possible with your monetary (or maybe material) support. Let us raise a big cheer for the NRAI President, Anurag Katriar, and the association's Delhi Chapter Head, Amit Arora of Buddy Retail, for driving this idea.
