Monokel Eyewear

Since our launch, we have used recycled acetate as the main material in our sunglasses. After extensive research and planning, we are now able to take our green mission further. For SS21, each and every Monokel Eyewear design has been made using a highly developed and innovative biodegradable acetate material. Our new acetate is still made mainly from cotton- and wood fibres, but it is now entirely biodegradable. To ensure that we continue to live by our words, and as a foun...dation for continuous improvement, third party lab tests and factory audits are conducted with each production run. Our new biodegradable material has many environmental advantages, the most obvious one being that they’ll eventually decompose rather than ending up in landfills or as microplastics in the oceans. We have always highlighted the importance of a long product life cycle. But there’s a limit to everything. Our glasses are still built to last, but not forever. #monokeleyewear

Generally dog people (currently as many dogs as employees), but Bo is special Edit: Neko means cat in Japanese. Not that we feel that we ever have to justify an image of Bo, but had a few quick wtf? on dm so there you go also the NEKO frames are cateye shaped. I’m gonna hang up now.... #monokeleyewear
