Happy Halloween! Kajsa is one of four new hires this autumn and has previously worked at Volvo Cars Design Visualisation team. She started at Brickland in August as a Creative Producer and has already made her first #BLLab. This witch was designed, modelled, rigged, animated and rendered using Blender. Flowcup was founded in 2016 by Diana Lidforsen in Malmö, Sweden. Around a year and a half ago, they approached us for a collaboration. We have gotten to know each other quite well and that’s what a creative partnership is about- exploring together what suits their brand and identity. In this re-branding for Flowcup, we have produced multiple product renders, marketing material, hero assets along with informative and pedagogical visuals that showcases individuality. The companys most important value and mission have been contributing towards increased gender equality and reduced consumption. On their website you can donate menstrual cups to women in low-income countries, by doing this; tens of thousands of women and girls on several continents now has a safe and hygienic option that will allow young girls to attend school when they have in the past dropped out due to the lack of feminine hygiene products. Another brilliant collaboration with AFOS. This time we worked together for the Swedish Furniture company Skandiform AB, we have made three animations for Skandiform’s product launches this autumn. Dito, Lola and Canard are designed for different purposes by different designers. We have tried to highlight each chair’s functions in the animations. The Dito chair is made of a new material, which is based on recycled plastic and hemp, a sustainable option with high quality comp...ared to normal plastics. Lola’s strong personality, with clear 70’s vibes, will add character to any room and contribute to a great atmosphere. Canard is a playful and stackable chair that resembles a duck, hence its French name. At Volvo Tech Day in June, Volvo announced that they aim to offer only fully electric cars by 2030. They have also announced they are moving towards leather-free interiors- due to animal welfare and the greenhouse- gas negative impact from cattle farming. Instead of leather interior options, Volvo Cars will offer Nordico. This is a new material for interiors and it consists of textiles made from recycled material such as PET bottles, bio-attributed material from sustainable f...orests in Sweden and Finland along with corks recycled from the wine industry setting a new standard for premium interior design.
