People getting involved with someone who’s already in a relationship is more common than we might like to think. We can end up eating the crumbs of a potential relationship, leaving us emotionally starving. When I wrote this song I kept thinking about Nina Simone’s amazing rendition of ‘The Other Wo...man’ by Jessie Mae Robinson. Ane Brun Honey Directed by Stefan Ekström/LFA Film | Choreography by Niki Awandee Tsappos | Cinematography by Alex Lindén and Janne Lindgren (Oslo) Stefan says (director): The independence was a key word when when choosing the locations for the video. We wanted to find a place for these young people’s own universe, the dreamy gymnastic hall, and the skatepark, and then end up on top of a hill where the dance continues forever. Niki had about one week to make the choreog...raphy, find the dancers and rehearse with them. So the first time I saw the choreography was actually on set and I thought it was perfect! We also wanted a young Ane that could represent the person Ane is singing to, and Niki managed to find Fredrika Freddie Burvall and she’s not just a good dancer, she also have a presence that goes straight through the camera lens Ane: I am a big fan of Swedish dancer and choreographer Niki Awandee Tsappos and I’ve been wanting to find a good excuse to ask her for a collaboration. I was so happy when she accepted the role as choreographer and casting director for the video. I’m so pleased with how the dance turned out, how the energy and dynamics of the dancers lifted the message of my song. And I loved it when I got to have my own private dance lesson with Niki on zoom! Niki: The dancers in this video comes from different streetdance styles such as Hip Hop, House and Dancehall. They are rooted in freestyle and the free form of improvising and expressing your true self in the moment. They use dance as their language and communication tool to deeper connect with themselves, to each other and the world. They live in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands.
